Catherine "Cat" Moon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™️, and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-In-Training™️. She is also the founder and director of a group practice called East Atlanta Counseling, specializing in the treatment of complex trauma and co-occurring disorders.
After working in residential treatment primarily treating clients with Borderline Personality Disorder and mood disorders utilizing DBT, Cat wanted to learn more about treating the root causes of complex trauma and became trained in EMDR. Cat is intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech, and she has also received extensive training in dissociative disorders, complex trauma, developmental trauma, somatic-attachment therapies, IFS and ego state therapies, Core Trained in Post Induction Therapy to treat developmental trauma by the Meadows, and is a LivingWorks ASIST and Suicide2Hope trained therapist specializing in the prevention of suicide.
