TRN

What is a TRN?

TRN stands for Trauma Response Network.  Under the guidance of EMDR HAP (Humanitarian Assistance Program), TRN is a collaboration of volunteers that are willing to provide pro bono individual or group sessions for community members that meet criteria and need for an EMDR Recent Events treatment.  TRNs can be formed for different purposes and geographic areas.  A state or city can have several TRNs.

Currently in Georgia, we have formed the Atlanta Area TRN for DeKalb and Fulton residents that have experienced a recent (within the last 3 months) critical incident/tragedy, with the event/incident being a man-made event.  The incidents may include violent crimes, homicide survivors, fire survivors, and first responder’s impact of man-made events.

The Atlanta Area TRN offers up to 6 pro bono appointments (or a total of 6 hours) of individual or group sessions to each referral.  The receiver of EMDR services may come to the therapist’s office, be offered video appointments, or a team of therapists can be dispatched to process an incident at a business or department.

The Atlanta Area TRN Co-ordinators are Edward “Andy” Anderson, LPC and Lauren Stinson, LPC.

The Atlanta Area TRN Consultant is Carolyn Rasche, PhD.
