My adult clients are often high-performing individuals with highly successful careers who aren't experiencing success in their personal relationships (familial, intimate, and platonic). They typically have insecure attachment styles. Their anxiety shows up as perfectionism, and they often overcompensate in their relationships are or overly critical of their partners.
